Visitors:
Thanks to Su R and Mac M for hanging around for a bit of a count today.
Weather:
Moderate SW winds today created a nice lift upwards up the cliff face and
brought the possibility of birds along the cliff edge itself. Otherwise,
the day remained unsettled and brought some drying out time with it
starting to open up into the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Not many birds today but as hoped there were a few Peregrines (4) that
decided to take advantage of the SW winds and cruise past along the cliff.
A few other birds went past as well.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported today.
Predictions:
Tomorrow (Thu) is the FIRST day in WEEKS with a forecast for northerly
winds for the entire day. Hopefully, this well come with clearing air and
some decent thermals (the Thermal Updraft Velocity (TUV) forecast for
tomorrow is as high as 400 ft/min).
