Observers:
Visitors:
Thanks to Su for doing a count on such a crappy weather day.
Weather:
A pretty miserable day for weather with on and off drizzle and more
constant rain and complete overcast. Winds were NW to start then backed to
W and then eventually back to NW and stronger.
Raptor Observations:
Not many birds on the move today in such nasty conditions. A few Sharpies
and Am Kestrels and a small fight of TVs.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported today.
Predictions:
Saturday looks like a really nice fall day with much colder temps and
moderate N winds backing to NW later in the afternoon. The updraft
velocities and buoyancy forecasts have improved even more so birds should
be able to catch some thermals tomorrow with all the sunshine. The only
downside may be trying to find birds in the pure blue skies!
