Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter:        Nicole Shangi

Observers:        Chris Craft, Claude Radley, Hugh Kent, Liz Kent, Pratt,
Paul, Winebrenner, John

Visitors:
We thank all our visitors again today, especially our observers Paul,
Claude, Chris and John.

Weather:
The weather today was not as clear as it has been the last couple of weeks
and we had a southwest wind most of the day. Despite this, we still managed
to see good numbers of birds!

Raptor Observations:
Broad-wings - FINALLY. We counted around 800 broad-wings today. Not a huge
amount, but an amount to celebrate none-the-less. There were also a nice
amount of northern harriers today too.

Non-raptor Observations:
Over 32,000 blue jays! Numbers have been increasing over the next few days,
and fingers crossed we have a good number for our hawk fest tomorrow! We
also saw a variety of vireos, a brown thrasher, and Gray-cheeked thrush.

Predictions:
Hawk Fest! We hope to have a good turn out of visitors as well as hawks for
our annual Hawk Fest tomorrow from 9am-3pm. The weather will be warm, and
hopefully the wind will be in our favour!
