Quite a few visitors today. Thanks to Tom B for getting today's count done.
Weather:
Winds were near calm and even when there was a breeze it was from variable
directions. There was zero cloud cover to start the day and then a variable
amount of cloud that built in heavier by days end. Temp was cool to start
again at 7C and got to a high of 21C.
Raptor Observations:
A pretty good flight today with 762 raptors tallied. Most were Broadwings
(590) with most crossing through during the hour from 10-11. Other species
included Osprey (2), Bald Eagle (5), N. Harrier (23), Sharpies (82), Am.
Kestrels (53) and Merlins (5) with singles of Cooper's Hawk and Peregrine.
Non-raptor Observations:
The only non-raptor reported was a Red-headed Woodpecker.
Predictions:
The weather for Sunday is likely to be rainy on and off but Monday looks
very promising with a forecast of sun and cloud and NW winds.
