Observers:        Hugh Kent, Liz Kent

Visitors:
We thank all our visitors to the tower, everyone shows such an interest!
Thanks to Chuck and Bob for bringing a banded sharpie and merlin to the
tower to release today!

Weather:
The weather today was very nice throughout the day, and hot by the
afternoon. The winds contained a northerly component all day which made for
great hawk watching.

Raptor Observations:
The variety of hawks today was great including northern harriers, kestrels,
red-tails, sharpies, merlins, broad-wings, a peregrine, bald eagles,
Cooper's hawks, and turkey vultures. There was an incredible amount of
American kestrels flying over the tower, with over 100 in one hour.

Non-raptor Observations:
There are still a good amount of warblers around which are a nice challenge
when raptors are slow. We are seeing more waterfowl on the marsh, today we
spotted 10 pintails flying over the marsh.

Predictions:
Tomorrow should be slightly cooler with northerly winds in the morning. We
are hoping for more broad-wings and more kestrels.
