Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end  time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter:        Chris Burris

Observers:        Dave Brown, Harold V., Tom Bolohan

Visitors:
Thanks to Dave B., Su R-R., Harold V. for spotting assistance. Many
visitors came to the platform on this second day of "Hawk Cliff Weekend."

Weather:
Hardly any clouds. Moderate NNE winds. Temps 11C-24C.

Raptor Observations:
Fair numbers and variety given the spotting difficulty created by the
absence of cloud. Most birds were quite high. Total birds for the day was
747 with a decent number of Sharpies (233), Am Kestrel (271) and N Harriers
(51). One of the more interesting sightings today was a young Peregrine
that actually took a dive at a Sharpie that was flying below it. It didn't
actually hit the Sharpie but definitely got its attention.

Non-raptor Observations:
An assortment of passerines were observed from the platform. eBird list
here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S397018554

Note: After more study, today's official counter is retracting yesterday's
"presumed Townsend's Warbler" sighting. After additional study, the bird in
question could not be safely differentiated from an infrequently
encountered fall plumage of Blackburnian Warbler. Apologies for the false
alarm.

Predictions:
N winds and more cloud may allow for better spotting, although the wind may
die out by early afternoon.
