Visitors:
Thanks to Tom B for today's count with assitance from Ronnie G, Keith S and
Ernie G.
Weather:
Moderate S winds all day with mostly sunny skies with just a bit of cloud
around. Very humid today with temp reaching a high of 24C but feeling like
30C with the humidex. Hard to believe it's almost the middle of October.
Raptor Observations:
Despite the winds from the S it was a much better flight today most likely
because of lots of sunshine and a steady wind. There were a total of 843
raptors tallied today with the highlight the first Golden Eagle of the 2021
Fall season at Hawk Cliff. A good push of Sharpies today with 295.
Non-raptor Observations:
None reported.
Predictions:
Strong southerly winds are forecast for Tuesday and a 60% chance of rain
sometime during the day so I'm not sure what the chances of a decent flight
will be.
