Good morning birders,
Despite the strong westerly winds, birders are enjoying a fine weather day
and good numbers of birds are being reported.
YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER briefly seen just north of the Tip.

There were quite a few shorebirds noted at the Tip including WHIMBREL, RED
KNOT, and 2 MARBLED GODWIT. The immature LITTLE GULL which has been in with
the other gulls was also still being reported. A number of SANDERLINGS,
RUDDY TURNSTONES and DUNLIN were also being seen. A RED-HEADED WOOODPECKER
was seen at the Tip and one was also seen on Tilden Woods.
Both CUCKOO species were reported from many trails.
The Woodland Trail, on Redbud Footpath is still reporting a WHITE-EYED
VIREO as well as a YELLOW-THROATED VIREO. And a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was
noted between A and B bridge.
In Tilden Trail a MOURNING, WILSON’S, and CANADA WARBLER were seen.
Another WHITE-EYED VIREO was found on Shuster Trail towards the lake.
Farther north on the DeLaurier Trail, a HOODED WARBLER was seen near the
south end of the swamp boardwalk (red chair area).

Lastly, Northern winds have a few hawks already flying around, and in
total, roughly 24 species of warbler have been reported.

Good birding
Pete, Felix, Aaron, and Mark
