This evening, a group of dedicated volunteers, researchers and staff of Long Point Bird Observatory discovered a Surfbird at the Tip of Long Point. Alejandro Llanes, Sam Eberhard, Jackie Quinones, and Max Bailey.
Happy to be corrected, but I’ve been informed that this is the first Ontario record since one at Presque Isle in August, 1979.
Access to the Tip of Long Point is accessible by boat only. There is no public access otherwise.
