Dear Birdnews subscribers,

The Ontario Bird Records Committee (OBRC) will be meeting soon at
our Annual General Meeting, held at the Royal Ontario Museum each spring.
There, final records are discussed and voted on, review lists are
updated, bylaws are reviewed and amended, and new members are elected to
the committee.

This year, the OBRC will be nominating three new voting members to
three-year terms commencing this year, and we are welcoming nominations from
OFO members for people to serve on the committee.

Nominees should be OFO members in good standing, have an excellent
knowledge of and broad experience with the field identification of birds,
be actively engaged in the Ontario birding community, and positively
support the OBRC through report submissions. Nominations should include a
few sentences outlining why the proposed nominee is well-suited to serve on
the committee. Any OFO member in good standing can nominate any single OFO
member, including themselves (for each position - so you may nominate up to
three people!) to the committee. The full process for nomination, voting,
and selection to the committee is detailed in the OBRC Bylaws and
Operating Guidelines http://www.ofo.ca/ofo-docs/OBRC_Bylaws_2022.pdf
.

Nominations may be sent directly to me, with the above subject line
intact. Please
don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Thanks everyone!

Happy birding,

Nicole Richardson
