Good Morning,
A beautiful day dawned this morning at Point Pelee. While there was not the
large number of migrants in the Park, birding continues to be steady.
There are still 20 species of warblers being reported this morning.
At the Tip, early-arriving people were rewarded by finding a couple of
WHIMBREL among the good mix of shorebirds, including RUDDY TURNSTONES,
DUNLIN, and others. Also noted at about 9 a.m. were a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT,
as well as 6 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS.
The PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS continue to put on a show on the Woodland Nature
Trail, especially at bridge A and F. They have also been reported on
Delaurier Trail.
Also noted was a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER between bridge E and F on the
Woodland Trail.
There was a report of a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD and a CANADA WARBLER on the
West Beach Trail.
