Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours
Official Counter: Chris Burris
Observers: Dave Brown, Ken Wootton, Tom Bolohan
Visitors:
Thanks to Dave B., Tom B., Tom S., Dave V., and Ken W. for spotting
assistance, as many birds were quite high today.
Weather:
Temps from 0C to 7C. Modest wind from N to NW, weakening near the end of
the observation period. Mostly cloudy dissipated midday and returned again
later.
Raptor Observations:
Intriguing variety today -- including a blackish dark morph Red-tail, a
pure white Red-tail (minus a few dark feathers), a late Peregrine, a couple
more Goshawks, and three more Golden Eagles.
Non-raptor Observations:
Most notable was a White-eyed Vireo seen and photographed by several.
(Partial) eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S285683300
Predictions:
Partly sunny and strong W winds through most of the day, backing to NW
later -- probably not soon enough to allow much of a flight.
