Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end  time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter:        Chris Burris

Observers:        Ken Wootton, Kitty Bradshaw, Su Ross-Redmond

Visitors:
Quite a few who "get" the value of a good NW this time of year. Thanks
especially to Kitty B., Su R-R., and Ken W. who assisted with spotting and
tallying on a rather busy day.

Weather:
Fairly low overcast offered a bit of sun midday, then back to complete
cloud cover. Temos 15C-18C. Moderate NW wind -- preferred for our site --
throughout.

Raptor Observations:
We had 12 species of raptors today, including double-digit
Red-Shouldered-Hawks and the first two Golden Eagles of the season. The
latter two were both young birds and approached rather low, allowing good
looks -- a first for some.

Non-raptor Observations:
Most notable were four groups, totalling about 40, swallows that
consistently flew a bit too far from the platform for positive ID, but they
looked good for Cave. If any photos offer confirmatory evidence, I'll
update. eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S402388490

Predictions:
NE switching to E early, with some sun. The die off of a northerly
component won't offer as good of a push toward the lake, so expect a lower
count.
