Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 14:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours
Official Counter: Chris Burris
Observers: Ken Wootton, Mac McAlpine, Tom Bolohan
Visitors:
Thanks to Tom B., Ken W., and Mac M. for helping with covering the main
site as well as north of Dexter (where 11 of the Goldens were recorded).
Weather:
Some sun and cloud. Temps 4C-11C. Moderate WNW switching to straight W,
which seemed to shut down the small flight.
Raptor Observations:
Today was pretty much about eagles, with 13 Goldens in one hour and one
more, plus 27 Balds of various ages. A dark morph Red-tail was also seen.
Non-raptor Observations:
Most notable were 10 Evening Grosbeaks that flew past the platform to the
north. eBird list here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S282416485
Predictions:
Tomorrow calls for some sun but winds E switching to SE and SW. Any flight
will probably be small.
