Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter:        Tom Bolohan

Observers:

Visitors:
One visitor was noted today... M. Norville from Buffalo NY. Thanks to Tom B
for sticking it out today to get a count done.

Weather:
Unfortunately, the current high pressure weather system setup over
southwestern Ontario is not great for pushing the migrating raptors down to
the Lake Erie shoreline. As a result, fewer birds pass the hawk watch so
the flights are relatively small.

Raptor Observations:
Today's flight was just 195 birds with mostly Sharpies (120) and a small
number of Broadwings (30) and Am Kestrels (26).  A single Osprey today and
a lone Peregrine that's a bit early in the season.

Non-raptor Observations:

Predictions:
Sunday has forecasted ESE to SE winds once again which is basically the
worst wind directions for raptor flights at Hawk Cliff.  I suspect the
total flight will be under triple digits.
